“Women should be as informed as possible about their childbirth options, so they have a voice in the process, advocate for what they want, and make the most informed choice.”

A little about me

I grew up in a small town in Southern California. Following in my grandmother and mother’s footsteps, I was a preschool teacher in Lomita for over ten years. I spent most of my time at the preschool working with infant-aged children. During my years of teaching, I was also a nanny for many wonderful families. I then went on to become a newborn photographer at Torrance Memorial Hospital and a gymnastics teacher for elementary children at various schools in the South Bay.

My jobs have always centered around working with children and families and it is an area I am truly passionate about. I have learned how each family is unique and has their own set of habits, cultures, needs, and dynamics. I believe every family and expecting mother deserves a doula of their choosing to guide them and help them achieve their ideal birth and postpartum experience. I consider it an honor when I am allowed into such sacred moments. Birth and postpartum really does take a village, and bringing that concept back into our busy, fast-paced modern society is something I strive for when working with my clients.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, kickboxing, reading, outdoor activities, and watching movies. I am always trying to keep up with my very adventurous and energetic six year old son who keeps me on my toes :)
